Nick Ratcliffe is a drum set performer and educator based in Toronto, Canada. His education includes intensive private study in New York with renowned clinician and educator Dom Famularo. Recently, he has begun study with John Riley at the Manhattan School of Music. He has studied at the Drummer’s Collective in New York, learning from such instructors as: Jason Gianni, Marko Djordjevic, Fred Klatz, Vince Cherico and Frank Katz. He has also studied with Jeff Salem, Chris Lesso, Claus Hessler, Paul Delong and John Favvichia.
He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, Vic Firth PDT, Hudson Music TIPS and holds an RCM Advanced Rudiments of Music certificate. In 2010, he was afforded the opportunity to attend Hudson Music’s Private Drum Teacher Workshop hosted at the Collective in New York.
As a performer, he draws on over 13 years of playing experience in a variety of styles. He is currently performing around Toronto with several cover bands and original projects. He has also conducted several workshops around the GTA.
He maintains a private teaching practice at his downtown studio and at several music schools in the Greater Toronto Area
